Interpersonal relationships

Inter-personal relations - a set of interactions between people. These relationships are mainly based on relationships that exist between members of society due to different types of communication: primarily visual (or non-verbal connections, which include both appearance and body movements, gestures), linguistic (oral speech), affective, as well as languages ​​built as a result of the development of complex societies (economic, political, etc.).

Human relations are fundamental for individual intellectual development, since they form both small and simple societies (such as a village) and large and complex ones (like a megalopolis). Human relations imply a connection between at least two individuals.

The maximum number of permanent social connections that a person is able to comfortably maintain is called the Dunbar number. This number is in the range from 100 to 230, most often considered to be 150.

Interpersonal relationships are divided into such types as:

1. Acquaintance (the most common type of interpersonal relationships) - this “circle” includes many people. In a narrower circle of acquaintances are familiar people who recognize you, with whom you meet at a meeting on common topics.
2. Friendly relations (friendship) - "circle" of friends, in which one person is attractive to another (mutual affection). Here, the main condition for the emergence of interpersonal relationships is mutual craving, the desire for contact, communication.
3. Friendly relations (partnership) - are based on business relationships. Participants in such relationships are united by a common goal, means and results of common activities.
4. Friendship is a great value and an expensive gift, which is honored by one who can and wants to be friends. Finding a friend means sharing misfortune and increasing joy, gaining support and gaining trust. Friends, faithful and reliable companions throughout the life path.
5. Love is a special relationship between two people. Without it, there is no human happiness, with the help of it a person becomes better, his soul “awakens”.

Also, interpersonal relationships are divided into styles:

1. Official (business, official) relations of people related to the observance of any formalities, rules established by an official. The world of this relationship is not rich and diverse.
2. Personal (friendly, friendly, familiarity, love, companionship) relationships of people, not limited to given formal rules. The world of these relations is rich and diverse, in contrast to official relations.

Classification of interpersonal relationships

By purpose:

• Primary relations: those that are established between people as necessary in themselves.
• Secondary relationships: those that originate in the need for help or some function that one person performs in relation to another.

The nature:

• Official (formal): characterized by the presence of mandatory rules, the lack of the right to choose a partner in communication, low emotionality.
• Informal (informal): characteristic of the right to choose a partner, a wide emotional basis, the lack of clear standards of behavior.
