CONCLUSION: Identification of Control Systems

Lecture

Designing highly effective control systems for aircraft engines (ACE) is impossible without developing models not only of the engine itself, but also of its control systems. Modern approaches to building mathematical models of ACE control systems combine both the analytical (theoretical) method and the experimental method of identification. Although the theory of identification is fairly well developed today and offers a large number of methods, difficulties arise in practice when applying them, stemming from the specific features of the control object and the conditions under which it operates. Aircraft control systems are complex nonlinear, non-stationary systems with measurement constraints. This book proposes approaches to solving the identification problem for objects of this class.

The textbook "Identification of Control Systems" contains sections corresponding to the stages of studying and researching ACE control systems: building models based on identification; studying identification models; and developing ACE control system models using identification methods. Original algorithms are proposed for solving the identification problem for nonlinear systems with measurement constraints.

The material presented in the textbook is intended not only to give master's students a coherent understanding of identification theory, but also to develop in future specialists a constructive approach to solving problems in the design of ACE control systems. In practical engineering work, problems and tasks are often encountered that are difficult to formalize mathematically using the methods presented in the textbook. In such cases, one must rely on the intuition developed while studying the theoretical and practical material presented, drawing on erudition and inventiveness. A final assessment of the decisions made can only be given based on the results of sufficient operational experience with the designed systems in real-world systems.

It should be noted that this textbook is not a finished body of work in the field of ACE control system identification. Changes in both the manufacturing technology of components and subsystems and in operating conditions will undoubtedly lead to refinements of the proposed methods and to the development of new solution algorithms.
