Engineering psychology (from the French. Ingenieur - engineer, a specialist in the field of technology) - a branch of psychology, exploring the processes and means of information interaction between man and machine.
Engineering psychology is a scientific discipline that studies the objective laws of the processes of information interaction between man and technology in order to use them in the practice of designing, building and operating systems "man-machine" (SMM). The processes of information interaction between man and technology are the subject of engineering psychology.
Ergonomics (from other Greek. Ἔργον - work and νόμος - law) - compliance of labor with physiological and mental abilities of a person, ensuring the most effective work that does not pose a threat to human health and is performed with minimal use of biological resources.
Ergonomics is a scientific discipline that comprehensively studies a person in the specific conditions of his activity in modern production. The main object of the study of ergonomics is the “man-machine-environment” system.
