Here you can emulate an RLC circuit, which is an oscillating circuit consisting of a resistor, a capacitor, and an inductor connected in series. The capacitor is charged initially; the voltage of this charged capacitor causes current to flow in the inductor, discharging the capacitor. Once the capacitor is discharged, the inductor resists any change in current, causing the capacitor to charge up again with the opposite polarity. The voltage on the capacitor eventually causes the current to stop flowing and then to flow in the opposite direction. As a result, an oscillation, or resonance, occurs. The voltages and currents in the inductor, capacitor, and resistor are shown in the plots below the circuit (voltage is shown in green, current in yellow). The resonant frequency depends on the capacitance and inductance in the circuit and is displayed in the bottom-right corner (as res.f). After some time the oscillations will die down due to the resistor. Briefly toggle the switch to get it running again.
