Here you can emulate a circuit with resistors. Green indicates positive voltage, and gray indicates ground. The motion of the yellow dots indicates current (in the conventional direction). On the left side of the circuit is a voltage source supplying 5 volts, and current flows through a set of switches and resistors on the right. The resistance value in ohms is shown to the right of each resistor. To turn a switch on or off, simply click on it. If you hover the mouse over any component of the circuit, you will see a short description of that component and its current state in the bottom-right corner of the window. If there is only one switch closed on the top and one closed on the bottom, then there is a single path through the circuit, and by Ohm's law the current will equal 5 V divided by the total resistance along the current path. If there are several current paths, you may have resistors in parallel.
This page is a utility for simulating последовательное и паралельное соединение резисторов online with specified initial values.
