A function f ( x ) is called analytic at a point x 0 if, in some neighborhood of x 0, the function f ( x ) is the sum of a power series
which is called the Taylor series of the function f ( x ) .,
In the particular case, for x = 0, the Taylor series is called a Maclaurin series:
The Taylor and Maclaurin series can be used to find approximate values of the analytical function.,
