A Venn diagram is a graphical way to show the relationship between sets. It consists of overlapping circles (or other shapes). Each circle represents a separate set. The intersection of the circles shows the common elements between the sets. The non-intersecting parts show the unique elements that belong to only one set. Example: If one circle is the set “students studying mathematics” and the other is “students studying physics,” then the area of intersection will show those students who study both mathematics and physics.
