I made this drawing when it was snowing outside, and I was longing for a real winter—like when I was a kid. I drew two fir trees in the foreground; they're green and fluffy, as if they'd just come out of the forest. The ground beneath them is purple—not because that's how it happens in real life, but because I wanted to create a slightly fairytale-like atmosphere, like in cartoons.
The snow is falling from above, and not just in dots, but like a whirlwind—I deliberately created a background with swirling white and blue lines to create the feeling of a blizzard. In the upper left corner is a bright circle; it could be the sun or the moon; I didn't decide for myself; I just wanted to add some light so everything wouldn't be too dark.
And in the bottom right is a pink square and a yellow triangle. Some might say these are gifts, others that it's just geometry. I like that everyone can come up with their own interpretation. I wanted the picture to be not just wintery, but with a mood - a little magic, a little chaos, and a lot of color.
