This example shows a memristor, a recently discovered device. It acts like a resistor, but the resistance changes over time depending on the current. In this example, use the slider on the right to select the input voltage. At first the memristor has a high resistance, but as current flows the resistance decreases over time until it reaches a minimum value. If you set the input voltage to a negative value, the resistance will gradually increase until it reaches a maximum value. A graph of the memristor's voltage, current, and resistance is shown below the circuit.
